Bryan Steel
Bryan has been one of Britain’s top track riders for over a decade and been an important member of the British Team Pursuit Squad contributing to their continued success over the last few years.
Now retired but continuing to work in sport through anti-drugs charity DARE and the Youth Sport Trust, Bryan is a strong advocate for the benefits of hard work and dedication on the path to success.

Bryan’s international career began in 1990 where he represented England at the Commonwealth Games. Since then he has racked up an impressive collection of medals and has made a major contribution to the success of the Team Pursuit squad. Four World Championship silvers (2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004), a World Championship bronze (2002), a Commonwealth Games Silver (2002) and an Olympic Bronze in the discipline have come in the last four seasons. Riding in his fourth Olympics in Athens, Bryan won silver in the Team Pursuit.
Bryan retired from sport after the Athens Olympics and now works for DARE (UK) and is also involved in other Charities and Associations.
His main role is with the National charity DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) as a Sports Development Manager. Bryan manages the DARE Sport program which develops the use of sport to educate young people.
Bryan works with the Youth Sport Trust as an Athlete Mentor on the Living for Sport program.
He also does motivational public speaking for DARE and a number of large companies and associations. |
